Starters next year for Iowa:
Connor
Patrick
Keegan Murray
Tony P
GT Post player

And I think that’s pretty darn accurate. No way Connor will come off the bench as a 5th year SR. No way Patrick isn’t starting in year 3 of the team. Keegan might be the best player so he’s for sure starting. CJF is up in the air of even coming back / Fran loves Tony P more than CJ, and Iowa doesn’t know what they’re going to do at the 5 yet.

Seeing Connor and Patrick both starting would be a true joy

I would assume Iowa will have the better record, but it all depends on transfers for Iowa State.

The big question for Iowa is whether their defense can get better. They won't be able to score like they did this year, so their defense must get better. I don't know if it will.

I will assume no injuries. Nunge is really good, as is Keegan Murray. Patrick McCaffery is skilled to.

I would assume their lineup is this:
Connor
CJ
Keegan
Patrick
Jack

Toussaint and Perkins off the bench.
They need help in the post, although Ogundele is a big body and would probably help out.

Nunge is not "really good" lol. He's a stretch 4 who can't shoot

Tony will start next year. Ogundele would have to make incredible leaps to be good enough to play significant minutes next year, which is why they’re going after a GT post. Nunge will be coming off of his second significant knee injury and won’t be able to move.

Yeah and I really like Keegan, but we’ll have to see what happens when the defense focuses on him. Patrick is okay. Either way that defense is going to be worse next year.

This question would be ludicrous in the line of succession days of college basketball especially since ISU essentially has no one.

Not so much with unlimited free agency.

I disagree. I think the defense will be better next year.

The Cyclones just won zero conference games and only won 2 games all season, and 50 of you think ISU is going to be better than Iowa next year. I'll have a double dose of whatever you 50 are taking.

Hard to really say until we know who will be on the ISU roster next year.

I would bet ISU will schedule very weak like Hoiberg's first season. Don't be surprised to see ISU have one of the weakest Non Cons outside of the Iowa Game and conference challenges.

With ISU sucking so much last year the conference challenges will most likely be against the worst SEC and Big east teams.

With Iowa being a home game and I'm going to speak it into existence, Hunter joining the team. If we add a decent transfer and freshman who can contribute I don't think that game is out of realm of possibility of winning.

Lets say with those 3 games we are looking at going 2-1 or 1-2.

Going into conference play that means we could be 15-2 or 16-1. my goal is to go .500 at home conference games so 5 conference wins brings us to 20-15 or 21-14.
