The Fran fade

Friendly reminder that Fran had more tournament wins this year than isu had conference wins.

Or you can think of it like we fired a coach who put 4 players he recruited into the NBA and won a second round game while you extended a coach with no NBA players and 0-6 in the second round.

The Iowa troll narrative really falls apart when Iowa got no meaningful team achievements this season and an empty cupboard coming back. Garza with JW as his Robin was your chance to win B10 hardware and a deep NCAA run...your coach had to make sure his kid started 4 years while barely registering any statistics. Huge wasted opportunity.

It's like if Larry Eustachy would have paired Fizer with Larry Eustachy Jr averaging 2.5 points a game instead of Jamaal Tinsley.

It’s all Jamie Pollard’s fault. He deliberately put the hoks in the same region as Oregon knowing damn well they would eventually play each other. And of course he stays up late watching PAC 12 games, so it was a no-brainer.

We heard all the rumors of Dana contacting JP prior to the 'search'. Now we know what it was all about.---- "Jamie, please pair us with Iowa. We could score a 100 on that D."

The "players in the NBA" narrative is just as tiring to Iowa fans as the "players in the NFL" is to the Cyclone fans. Maybe it's a source of pride for the fanbase but nobody else's fans care.

I think it is really cute CP84 is posting on Hawk boards how the future is so great bc P Mac and Keegan will be complete studs...Keegan i like alot but also consider Keegan will get the defensive attention by teams next year with Garza, JW, and Jobo gone..

P Mac had a couple nice games running and dunking...His outside shot is horrible and I've seen him miss a ton of layups..

P Mac is not Aaron White. If P Mac averages more than 10ppg next year I'll be surprised honestly..

Carry on.

Nobody else's fans care but recruits do. In both sports. The primary reason ISU signed T HUnter is bc of ISU getting kids into NBA...Said so publicly.

Patrick McCaffrey is bad at basketball. He is already 21 he isn't going to get magically decent

I'm just being a salty *****. I wish iowa would can Fran (that's been my opinion since he blew up a few years ago at tOSU). He's an average coach with an embarrassing temper.

Don’t forget the injuries to CJ and CMAC. That was just mentioned during Frans post game presser.

Wonder why Iowa played their starters so long against GCU? Probably so Iowa media could mention this as an excuse.
What is connors injury again? Heard a torn labia, not sure if that is accurate. Believable, I’m just unsure if accurate.

Well it's an indicator that iowa football has recruited and developed much better and same for isu basketball.

It's not a coincidence isu is finally putting players in the nfl who can succeed at a more frequent clip lately and probably especially after next year.

Focus on just winning then. If TJ has one good year ISU will have three coaches each separately win more things that matter than Fran during Fran's entire run.

Garza saved his neck. (Again he gets credit for signing and coaching him)

Imagine if his kids had played these minutes on non NCAA bound teams.

Iowa's best team ever couldn't make the sweet 16
