Feel bad for Weiskamp. I think he had a legitimate shot to get drafted after the reg season he had. But he looked terrible today. Way too soft of a player on defense and too loose of a handle to get his own shot in the league. Needs to come back and put in some work. Will be good for Iowa's tourney chances next year though.
Andrew Downs just said Iowa needs to get better matchups in the NCAA tournament.

He had a bad game and had 17-6-5. He’s going pro, no reason for him to come back IMO.
Since it's Monday, congrats to Iowa for making it out of the first weekend.
I mean this would’ve came out after the season whether they lost this round or if they won a championship. Kind of an outrageous thing to say about a kid who played through two torn labrums.

I mean they'd look pretty ******* stupid. They were ranked in the top 10 for really no good reason all year and got crushed by a 7 seed.

What a waste of a generational talent in Garza. He deserved better.

The Hawks had Hawkeye Elvis though, who coincidently had just as many points as 3 of Iowa's starters.
Not too different from Iowa State going into the infamous UAB game. They had just finished that stretch of like 5-6 games in a row coming back from a double digit deficit, won the Big 12 tournament, then came into the opening round way over confident. It happens.
