LOL, a team with two of the best five players in ISU history and what 6 or 7 NBA players was decent? I’ve heard it all now.
If TJ was our coach we probably would have beat UAB.
I think the only time one might make that assertion was 1988 with KU, KSU and OU of the old Big 8 in the elite eight. And had KSU and KU not played each other.....a chance at having 3 of the final 4 be from that conference. As it was.....it was an all Big 8 final and we all know the story of Danny and the miracles.
Iowa has a better winning percentage against teams from indiana than isu did in conference play.

I guess it wouldn’t have mattered if John Wooden was coaching them. They were only a decent team.
Decent team, but a better coach would have elevated their game into making them a great team.

Yeah I'll go ahead and disagree with you there. First time I met him he was wearing a Hawkeye cutoff and I asked him why since it really wasn't the time or place for it and he said he was doing it to show off his tiger hawk tattoo on his arm. Plus you know who his best friend is now right?
