The Fran fade

what’s the optimal “cultural makeup” of the team?

A coach can have whatever makeup he wants, but when most of them are privileged kids that grew up with a silver spoon in their mouth, it’s not the greatest look for those same kids to be whining and crying about having to be in a 5 star hotel for several weeks. That’s the life of luxury for many players in college basketball, and most Americans as well.

Thankfully Jordan is a doer, and not a guy who sits behind a keyboard and complains all day like you. He took the steps last summer to get this ball rolling with Geo Baker, and Livers. This has been the plan for a long time now, to use the NCAA tournament as a platform to put pressure on the NCAA to make needed changes. Maybe instead of just sticking your head up your ass because Bohannon live rent free in your head, you pull your head out of your ass and actually look what he is doing to affect change. Whether or not you agree with him isn't the point, the point is in this country we have the freedom to try to affect change if we so choose to get off our asses and do so. Jordan is a doer, and it is funny that you call him a whiner, when it is you who does nothing, but whines non stop about someone actually doing something.

Oh and Jordan is also working with the Iowa legislature to write NIL legislature, once again doing something. They want to meet with Mark Emmert as well as President Biden's administration to pass laws as well.

I personally am on the side of the players. These are young men, that many of them are not privileged, most of them will never earn a dime of money in the sport they play in college, and may never have the ability to make this kind of money again in their lives. So instead of money going to the players who provide the product, the NCAA is getting rich, and trying to protect that money. Amateurism is just a way for the NCAA to get away with paying basically nothing to secure the service of it's player who drive the product.

I think we finally figured it out guys. Legend Hawk is Jorbo's mom.

I have a meeting scheduled with Bidens administration next week I'll make sure to bring it up

Yep using my platform to end message board trolling. I have no leverage though so will probably just continue to complain about it while nothing gets done

Are you looking to retire yourself? If message board trolling went away, that means you can't troll Iowa athletics all day every day.

No because I know I have no leverage and nothing will happen

Yeah it is hard to wield power when you are an anonymous internet troll.

Jordon, Geo, Livers, college basketball scholarship players on the other had do wield a lot of power and are trying to find their way on how to use that power. Working with legislatures to come up with NIL laws is one step. Putting pressure on the NCAA is another way to do it.

Not sure why ISU fans looks down on players trying to own their NIL. That seems pretty basic for the rest of the population, but for some reason college kids have to fight to get that right back for themselves.

How are they putting pressure on the NCAA? Lol

Which players do you think were born with a “silver spoon” in their mouth.

I take it Jorbo, Patrick and Connor make your list. Who else?
