"One source told CBS Sports that Iowa State will have to pay approximately $5.5 million to Prohm due to firing him, and then could owe UNLV somewhere between $4-4.5 million for Otzelberger's buyout. On paper the buyout number is just north of $3 million. The hefty million-dollar-plus difference will depend upon whether or not Iowa State can treat the buyout as a business expense (no tax fees would kick in) or if the transaction gets attached to taxable income (which would raise it to the $4 million neighborhood).

LOL, so Prohm is going to give Pollard a discount for stabbing him in the back hiring Otz a month ago.
YIKES! That is a bad look for Jamie, during a pandemic paying millions to get your buddy in as coach, while others are taking pay cuts. Didn't Jamie also get on his high horse and lecture academia for not taking pay cuts during the pandemic? Then despite a 30 million dollar deficit he pays 10+ Million to hire his buddy.
So you didn't know who the hire was going to be. You claim Turgeon wanted the job. Then we find out Otz has been the guy for a month, but you somehow know about Prohms buyout. LOL man, you are a trip.
Yep, unlike Iowa football coaches who got larger raises than their pay cuts so they still ended up with raises.
So you are saying Jamie and Prohm have been lying when saying they needed to "meet and discuss" what the future of Prhom was in the program?
Do college coaches fall under normal state hiring practices? Seems odd that this was basically a done deal a month ago when TJ was still employed and Prohm still the coach without the chance for formal interviews and background checks.
What can we believe then that Pollard says? Seems he has been lying a lot. Saying he will have a quality coaching search when the deal with Otz was done a month ago. We all know how you feel about liars.

They have to pay Prohm’s buyout and looks like they’re getting pretty much no help from donors. I can’t imagine ISU could afford to pay him that much.
