The Fran fade

They wouldn't beat Kansas' women's team.

Cool. So you expect Fran to keep things rolling after this season then obviously.
"Keep things rolling" is pretty broad, but yes, we should continue to be a top 30ish team like we have been 6 of the last 8 years. Probably take a big step back next year losing a lot of talent, but that's a normal college cycle.

Is Fran going to find another Wooden award level 4 year player and get to a 2 seed again soon? Probably not, but noone is expecting that.

Plagiarizing from the Nebraska football board? that's low. You sound like a Nebraska fan without even having their level of history to back it up. Wow.
No Plagiarizing. Wrote it straight out. ISU basketball has WAY better history than Nebby.

Not going to be a homer here, but Fran has actually done a pretty decent job with Iowa. They’ve been consistently a 18-20 win team over the last 5-6 years. Iowa is smart to lock him up, as he’s steady. Iowa fans just need to remember they aren’t KU. 18-20 wins is great for Iowa
Not going to be a homer either. I believe Fran To be an ok coach. There's times i believe we look incredibly well coached specifically on offense. We move the ball well, have a clear sense of direction in getting our best players good to great looks and rarely turn it over or make boneheaded plays. His recruiting sometimes leaves me wanting more. I believe if Fran quit tomorrow we could find a better coach but we could also find a much worse one. Fran's a B to B-

22 years and 3 coaches later and Iowa is still trying to, how did they put it in ‘99, reach the next level. And now they are going to extend a guy who has yet to make it out of the first weekend. The Big 10 tourney wasn’t around when TD was there which is kind of like Fran’s performance in it. TD won at a higher level and had more class in his big toe than the McCafferys have. Fran isn’t a bad coach, but he hasn’t taken IA to the heights in 11 years that TD did.
