Unless he has 2 or 3 more Garzas showing up soon, it's not looking good for the long term. Next season will prove that out.
Not to mention, Fran is a true horses a$$... especially with the media. Truly embarrassing sometimes.
LOL, Fran has qualified for (or would have) the NCAA tournament in 6 of the last 8 years. Bad coaches like Prohm win 5 conference games over 2 years.
Iowa has finished in the top half of the B10 9 of the last 10 years.
Smart PR says you announce this at the high water mark of the NCAA tournament play for your team. Sometime second weekend probably in Iowa's case, or you run the risk of making a big deal out of extending a coach right before a potentially bad loss and let that become the story.

Whoa. I knew the Big Ten was bad but 4 of those years resulted them getting left out of the tourney. If you finish in the top half of the Big 12 you're getting in the dance
LOL. Guy is coaching a 2 Seed. Bad coaches take a decent program and go 0-18 in conference play and 2-22 overall.
Iowa had more wins against a single tournament team than ISU had all season.

The dude is 61 and has never won a major conference tournament or regular season title or even made the Sweet 16 lol
So Prohm goes 2-22 and Fran hasn’t been near that, yet they’re both under the “bad” category. Unfathomable.
This should allow Fran's youngest son to continue the legacy.
Prohm also won two conference titles and has been to the Sweet 16 and he still is a bad coach
