Les Miles Done For?

Willie Fritz isn't out of the question given his background and most would call him a great hire for Ku. Sean Snyder would be solid but can't see that happening for many reasons, including his lack of head coaching experience.
Probably only one other fanbase I would want to see endure misery like this more than Kansas.
I was honestly surprised Turner Gill didnt get a little bit better results. Didnt expect them to be Big 12 champs but I thought he was going to at least get them bowl eligible on a semi regular basis.
I wonder how he would’ve fared if they had given him more than 2 years
The only way they get themselves out of hell is:
1. Hire a relentlessly optimistic coach that boosters will love, who is willing to work til he dies to make it work
2. Give that guy at LEAST 5 years, and understand that .500 is the definition of success
3. Invest in facilities and gameday experience, to get people to come to games even if KU continues to be terrible.

They need a new stadium. IT's that simple. That stadium is not Jack Trice. It was not set up very well for remodel or investing money into. Jack was set up perfect for expansion. They probably didn't realize it at the time. However, Kansas was set up for multiple sports lke football and track

KU and Les Miles settled for $1,991,062.50, via his settlement agreement released by KU. Miles originally had about $8 million left on his KU contract that ran through 2023.

I would be more than happy to mutually part ways with my current employer for half that
I would love to see KU find a way to renovate Memorial Stadium, but keep it's ancient feel.
Going to a game there seems like something out of a different era altogether. There's nothing big time about it at all, and that's part of the fun. You can get tickets for $5 and party around the neighborhood whilst having a good time and then you get to see your team bash their skulls in.

With all of the commentary (justifiably) on how historically bad KU has been, it is worthwhile to remember that the Jayhawks have finished a season ranked in the Top 10 and played in a BCS/NY6 more recently than Nebraska!
