Iowa Football Recruiting

So now it is a good thing to get invited to a bowl over your paygrade and get the **** kicked out of you?

Lopsided bowl losses happen all the time, ND certainly showed ISU fans that last year. Talk about getting invited to a bowl game over your paygrade and getting the **** kicked out of you, that was a drubbing ISU got last year.

Growing pains. Just the cost of getting better.

I always get a chuckle when I stop by this thread.

The idiocy of the Hok fan base will never cease to amaze me. But then again, remember this is a fan base that embraces players that tell them to "Suck a fat one!"

So the current arguments are - "ISU is building a better program than ToE but that doesn't matter because CMC can't recruit 4 stars" and the back up argument is "Iowa is better because we get beat by better teams in bowl games?"

It is tempting to get frustrated with this stupidity but I am glad to see it. Would hate to see that fan base evolve and become rational, I would miss the entertainment.

ISU isn't building a better program than Iowa, they had a better year than Iowa did last year. Iowa has been a 70% winning team over the last 8 years, lets see if CMC can get two good years in a row before crowning them the new all time greatest program ever.

20-6 at half vs a top 15 and 10-2 ND while being unranked>>>>>> 35-0 vs a team you are rated higher than.

Stanford could have hung 60 if they felt like it.

Both teams were outmanned. One ,however, was much worse.

Is that Stanford Cyclone win over Iowa the biggest win in program history for you guys? I mean you guys still hold onto that win like it is the holy grail and it is to be used to discredit anything and everything associated with Iowa for the next 50 years.

We will stop referencing that when Hawk fans stop starting every stat with “Since 2015...”

Iowa State's loss to ND was a slow and painful death. Stanford clipped Iowa's jugular at the beginning and then decided to play with the dead body.

Kind of OT, but on the 2022 football recruiting thread on HR, someone was bad mouthing a kid and his family in the thread, and didn’t realize the kids father was actually a member on HR. The kids dad saw the posts and responded. I am now going AWOL for a bit to watch this play out.

If you remember, right away I said ISU got shafted with this NY6 matchup and I would have been pissed if I were an ISU fan. It isn't ISU fault they had a great season during COVID and the cards fell where they were and they played Oregon. At the same time you can't sit there and say that Oregon was a NY6 worthy team, because they weren't. It was a joke they made a NY6 game, and I think we all know that.
LOL you're such a troll who tries to act like you're unbiased. You are in the Fran Fade thread losing your mind over ISU fans who are salty about Iowa doing good in bball, yet here you are going absolutely manic.

"It isn't Iowa's fault they're having a great season during COVID and the cards are falling for them to get 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament"

Moron.

Lolol I saw that. People on the board that saw the recruit play in high school thought he was a bit cocky and self-centered. Dad wasn’t having any of that.

I think it was just one guy. Said he watched him play and didn’t like him or something along those lines.

Gee, that lasted a whole 5 minutes. Yet another lie out of you. You are a pathological liar!

You are so triggered it's hilarious lol

I'm triggered because ISU fans will always reference the Iowa vs Stanford game? That's a new one.

Little hint here, I am talking about ISU fans being "triggered" about Iowa's good basketball season, because ISU fans keep saying that about Iowa fans over their football season. You should know by now that I just take what idiot ISU fans spew and shoot that right back at them in other situations, etc.

Or maybe, the Iowa State fans talking down on Iowa's bball season are only doing so because there were Iowa fans talking down Iowa State's football season?

I mean the football season did happen before the basketball season, so it's not like you can claim Iowa State fans started this s***.

OR, and this could be absolutely crazy, but maybe the schools we root for are rivals and there are people on both sides that are so engulfed by their fandom that they will never give an ounce of credit to the opposing side?
