ESPNU?

No, ESPNU is not available for everyone who has Cable. Comcast Cable does not carry it any package, in any way, shape, or form. I have the digital cable sports pack and ESPN FC and I can't see any games that are on ESPNU! Very frustrating.

Ah. Well that's comcastic.

As horrible as mediacom is, Comcast is 10x worse. I feel for you

Again....It's the Big 4 games in Iowa....and many...will NOT see as a result. Given the weather...many in northern Iowa aren't coming as a result.

Plenty of radio coverage though:skeptical:

I would give my money to ISU if I had some to spend. I have football season tickets but can't justify basketball since I wouldn't make every game.

So lets see, I drive up to the game... $10 Gas (cheap now)
Buy two tickets for me and wife ... $41.05 Sect 222 row 13
Supper if we did fast food.. $13.00
Drinks at game or whatever.... $10.00

Total $74.05

Mediacom $5.00 2 state games on

Hmmmm... as much as I love giving ISU money. This time of the year doesn't work. Christmas is coming and we are a broke newlywed couple...

Makes sense

Yeah I used to complain about MediaCom, I would love to have MediaCom now, the channels even work consistently on Mediacom! Actually I would love to have anybody but comcast but they have a monopoly so I have no choice in cable companies (dont want a dish yet).

I just added the Mediacom Sports Pak for $3.95 per month. If I went to a sports bar tonight and had 3 beer and appetizers, I'd drop $25-30. I never realized it was this inexpensive to add it or I would have done it a long time ago. I thought it would close to $10 per month.

Seriously, tickets for this game are ranging from $10 to $21. Its an awesome match-up and should be a great game. Anybody within 30-45 minutes of Ames should be here for it!

I agree - but it's everyone's choice to go or not. I just hope more choose go than not.

I totally agree with your point. I thought about the same thing other day when I was debating to add sports pack (I have this thing called Sunflower Cable) for $8/month which allows me to watch ESPNU (HD) and all of the Fox Sports Channels. Because I live in KS, I dont get too many Iowa State games, so I always went to Buffalo Wild Wings and watched games. I normally ended up spending 25 bucks each time when I go watch the game and realize it would be cheaper and rather spend $8 a month for like 4-5 months and watch the games at home.

So far, it has been great investments.... I can watch all the games from non-major conferences and good soccer games!

Heck, I've been paying $8.95 per month for Clonezone.

Yeah... Seriously.... The best tickets for 2 I could find were Sect 222 row 13 and it came out to $43.00. Tickets might be cheap, but it is the rest of it that goes with it.

Norwalk takes me 45 minutes to drive up... 45 minutes back at 10pm and then waking up at 5 am to get ready for work.

I would love to go... Don't get me wrong. But unless I can eat at your place for FREE or get FREE gas or FREE drinks at the game.. Can't really justify it.

Pregame party at chuckd's!

I've been a big fan of the sports pac. Besides all the college sports you also get to watch all the crappy hunting and fishing shows on sportsmans channel. They are pretty entertaining...

Think of how the rest of the U.S. feels. They paid for ESPNU and they get to watch all Iowa night on ESPNU!

Great for us, but I imagine they are pretty disappointed!:biglaugh:

Do I have to have ESPNU to watch tonight's game if I live in Ames and have a dish? My friend wanted to know.... Thanks:)
