*** Official Iowa State Season Thread ***

Did you not watch the last 6 minutes? You know, when it mattered? 2 points, 1 rebound, 3 turnovers (not counting the jump pass he left Solomon on an island with) and was 0-2 (both misses were contested layups).

He was atrocious down the stretch.

Not going to argue that he played well down the stretch, but at the same time we wouldn't have been as close as we were without his overall game.

It's an indictment of the recruiting misses and the roster makeup of this team that we are so dependent on him every single game to single handedly keep us in the game.

We witnessed a lot of good to great elements on the floor tonight (effort, defense, rebounding, assists, teamwork, grit/resilience, even game plan) unfortunately it feels wasted when we don’t get good coaching and execution down the stretch.

you’re right... when the games are on the line this year we should just take the ball completely out of our best scorers hands.

How’s that working out?

Someone else said it best, Bolton is the reason we are in these games. And also a big reason why we lose them. But the coach continues to be inflexible and try anything else. So we continue to lose every single close game we play.

Yea how about you don’t put words into my mouth. Just because you hate Prohm doesn’t mean the players didn’t choke this one away
The players didn’t have a lot of help in last five minutes on getting into good sets. Waiting until 8 seconds left on the clock to start an action with a shooting guard playing point isn’t usually going to produce great results.

One point guard who everyone knew would be gone after last year? Great work Prohm. What just once every 4 years he gets to recruit 1 position? Is that why we only have 1 legit big man?

Who is the legit big man? If you say Foster, we haven’t seen him play enough to find out if he is actually a good D1 big man. And it certainly isn’t Conditt or Young
