I would take Petras over Luke. Not that it’s saying much, but he’s at least better than Luke McCaffery.

McCaffrey is more accurate, is a really good runner plus faced much tougher competition

Petras started off rough his first 4 games. Not having any spring practice, really hurt his development. After he got his feet wet, his last 4 games were just fine. If he continues to build on those last 4 games, he will be good. If he regresses back to his first 4 games, time to move on.

He sucked in all but his last two games. Not sure why you include Penn State and Nebraska because he was bad those games. His last two games (Illinois and Wisconsin JV) he put up for numbers. That's it

18-28 for 186 yards and no touchdowns is bad

18-30 for 193 yards and one touchdowns and one interception is bad.

His combined QB rating those two games were worse than Michigan State when you said he was bad
