The Fran fade

It’ll depend on Ulis imo. I’m really high on him and I think there’s a chance he takes over at PG next season.

Is Connor not playing for Iowa next year? Serious question. Maybe I missed it, I just figured he was back.

Two people said two different players will start at pg. I can't imagine Fran suddenly benching his son who started for three years. How do you justify a guard who doesn't shoot playing shooting guard?

Connor isn’t a PG or SG though. He’s usually the 3 in the starting lineup.

That confuses me even more because when I see his stat line that looks like he doesn't contribute, everyone says it's because he's a brilliant ball handler and they'd fall apart if he wasn't handling the ball.

3.3 rebounds as a four year starter and he's not a point guard or a shooting guard?

Congrats that JW and Garza and Nunge have turned out to be great players, but this guy plays the position "coach's son".

I’m not going to argue, as you’re not wrong. Connor shouldn’t be a starter.

In a way it's kind of a compliment that they've gone bubble, 4-8 seed, 3-6 seed in the three years he started. A huge part of it is obviously finding crazy efficient pieces in the two best players and a guy like Nunge that thrives playing around them.

There is an opportunity cost there is all I'm saying. Good timing for Fran. I think the fans burn the thing to the ground if they were losing with Connor starting four years.

I dont necessarily have a problem with him starting. He kind of has to be out there when we have our best offensive players on the court to overcome his lack of being a scoring threat. I do think he does bring some value in things that dont show up in the box score, but still, he's getting too many minutes for my liking

I'm sure you hope to get another 4 year starter with those spectacular numbers.

Should be easy to fill with about 40 Iowa preps a year.

#5 in the NET

Oh...Connor usually plays the 4 or 3 nowadays

I actually have liked some of the Nunge and Garza minute overlaps when they go big.
My personal favorite lineup is Joe T, Keegan, Pat, Nunge, Luka. It’s the best defensive lineup, a ton of length, and they can still rack up points.
