The Fran fade

It’s kinda funny all media and Iowa fans are all like “We are great on D!”.. vs some of the worst offenses in P5.. Wisconsin offense was one worst I’ve seen.. Had nothing to do with Iowa. Wisc couldn’t hit a barn last night.. They were bad.
It's true. I watched most of the first half and was amazed at how many good looks Wisky had but kept bricking.

Why pump the breaks? I didn't say this was the best win ever by a college basketball team or anything like that? Just didn't even realize that Iowa basically blew out Wisconsin when 2 of its starters played so horribly according to @CyTwins.

Wisconsin is ranked right around where OU, WVU, Texas and Kansas are all ranked in the Net, do you think they aren't any good?

When Wisc is hitting shots they are good.. With 4 min to go in 1st half Wisc was literally like 20% from field..

Wisc shot 30% from field for game! Hell Isu isn’t even That bad.. They missed (21) threes.. Lmao

He's really not though. He's just not playing. Last two games he's played fine but played like a combined 15 minutes. Idk why he's not playing but it Happened after the first Michigan state game. Joe had 10 points, 6 assists and changed the game with his defense. Since then hes played about 5 minutes a game. We're good enough to get by the teams we've played recently without him but I'm worried when we play an athletic team joe will be needed but where's his confidence going to be
It’s a mixed bag with JoeT. More athletic and better D. No threat from 3...and has made some head scratching unforced turnovers lately.

I agree, I don't get the love affair with him. I actually think Ulis has way more upside.

I agree Touisant can try to force everything and that's where he gets into trouble. I'm not advocating for him to play 30 minutes but certainly 14 to 18 type. If we play someone like Gonzaga if we're lucky enough to make it that deep i just think touisant will be needed to keep suggs out of the lane or other players like suggs.

I think we forget how good touisant was playing at end of last year and how well he's played albeit in limites action in some games this year. We don't beat Michigan state the first time without him and probably beat Ohio state if we get more of him. You might be right on uhlis but I haven't seen him play enough to really be able to form an opinion

Serious question, how many T's has franny got this year? I haven't watched a lick of ToE bball outside of a little of our game with them.

1 offensive play determines minutes usage over the last 5 games?
@Nate STANley and @GoHawks both agreed.

But here you are bringing your @CyTwins obsession into a fair question for no reason.
He literally came into the game and completely ignored the NPOY on a play that is designed to get him the ball. If you can't play within the offense as a pg, you don't play. It happens nearly every game. Have you ever stopped to think, the coaches see the exact same thing I'm talking about and that is why his minutes are what they are? JT plays good defense but he tries to do too much on offense sometimes.

Again, if one play is the measuring stick, it raises a lot of questions.

Curious if the Hawk fans think Iowa is truly playing better defense lately. I haven’t watched many games, but did watch Rutgers and Wisconsin. Maybe they did against Rutgers, but it seemed like Wisconsin was getting a lot of good looks but just couldn’t hit them. On the flip side, there may have been some games earlier where defense was “ok” but the other teams were just shooting lights out.

I’d argue their defense has slightly improved, but it’s the game to game nuances of opponent shooting that swings it. Don’t take this as looking to get in an argument, just curious of your thoughts.

Just to clarify you think Connor and Bohannon played well last night correct?
