Apparently Baron Davis gained weight on purpose in the offseason to endorse a weight-loss drink (Jenny Craig ROFL!).

He gets paid $12.5 mil a year from the Clippers and is willing to alter his playing abilty for an extra $250,000 (the amount he's getting paid from Jenny. About 2% of his salary).

Would you do something that would alter your performance at work, just to get an extra 2% of what you're making??

I would say that is boarderline affecting your ability to do your job to your best ability. It would be like me, a designer that does color critical work doing my job with blue tinted glasses on all day to get a paycheck from Blueblocker or something. In the end, I guess it comes down to weather or not his team agrees.

The Clippers are ticked. They aren't mad that he was endorsing Jenny Craig. They are mad that he gained weight on purpose so he could then try to lose it using Jenny Craig.

If your child goes down the street, and somebody makes fun of him because he dropped a pass in a pick-up game, or says he's FAT! and he comes home crying to his mom....you'd understand.

Sincerely,
Mike Gundy

[FONT=&quot]Baron joined JC to lose weight, get in shape and become healthier. He says he wants to educate others about the health benefits of losing weight, so it doesn't make sense that he would gain weight on purpose.

Why would he jeopardize his career?

Baron lost 19 pounds using Jenny Craig meals, not diet drinks. Let's not take away from the success that he's had.

How powerful has CF become that we now have Jenny Craig PR reps doing damage control?:goofy:

I just thought it was funny that a guy would sign up for $250,000 to do Jenny Craig. That doesn't bode well with your stret cred. I mean, this isn't Ultra Slimfast with Lasorda....

Throw in the gaining weight on purpose issue, and you have a guy basically ruining his image for an extra 2% lol.
