Iowa Football Recruiting

Interesting Iowa doesnt fire POS's but in fact gives them a million bucks.

In all fairness, every school is going to do whatever they think will salvage their public image. If I recall, Tennessee football decided to fire their coach, blame him for the infractions, take the slap on the wrist and start over with an entire new staff that hopefully can compete in the SEC East. They wanted to change coaches anyway, so it was just the best route to take, avoiding the payout. Yet it looked to the public like they were "doing the right thing."

Iowa wanted to protect Kirk, but yet look like they were dealing with the racism. If they fired Doyle, that could be seen as an admission that he did something wrong. But just pay him to go away, you have admitted nothing, and the Ferentz regime goes on with no penalties and acting as if nothing happened, while paying lip service to the "we are evaluating and addressing these concerns" pretense. So, again, they just did what they hoped would work out for the best. Meanwhile, other than Doyle, they just go on with the same old folks doing the same old things. It seems to be working so far, they all still have their jobs and recruiting went well. They minimized the damage and kept the status quo. Just like with Tennessee, the perfect solution. (Although, to be honest, I'm doubtful that Huepel is going to make the Vols a contender. But, at least they got the change they wanted, just not the coach perhaps.) Anyway, this is how these things appear to me. I'm not stating it as fact, just my view.

Awesome! I don’t have Twitter so this is great! Funny how he says this, as isn’t
it the same thing 1605 said when he left after his post on here about telling hokfan23 to put a hit on Twins on HR? He just up and vanished like a fart in the wind but came back again with a case of diarrhea again.

I think if you added the IQ of hokfan23, herpyfan, and cyhawk1605 up it might get to double digits.

This part remains to be seen. I acknowledge they held the class they built prior to the **** hitting the fan. Since they got a OL Texas cut loose, which is absolutely a quality get. Other than that not so much. After repeated misses on a RB, apparently a priority need, they settled on a 2 star LB prospect to put a body in the RB room. It's a great story for a kid from DM North but unfortunately it's probably more of a "see we were able to sign an AA" to get the proverbial "monkey " off their back. (Not meant in anyway as a racial statement) Hopefully they or somebody else get the kid to the other side of the ball where he'll have a chance to be a quality prospect.

Now look at their coaching situation. RB coach bolts to the Bolts. Completely understandable what's not is they offered UNCs RB coach twice what he was making and got a big fat hairy no thanks. ( yellow flag) Now their Oline coach takes a $100k pay cut to get a "promotion ".(flag starting to change shades)

The telling factor is going to be how recruiting players and coaches goes moving forward. If they can't make a splash in the coaching replacement expect more the same on the recruiting trail.

If he has a problem with anyone here why doesn't he come over here and just PM them with his issues? This is an incredibly easy fix that he should know doesn't need to be this complicated. I'm just glad he's done harassing me
he's saying if any of us give him your name or info he would drop us from his make believe. but hell the only thing I even know about you is you live in Carrol and drive a minivan...
