I had a dream last night where I was saying good-bye to people at my office and there was another male associate there who I have no idea who they were but I definitely feel like I should know.

Got a rush order late last night, now I'm waiting on the realtor (which is also the seller) to let me know if I can hit it today. Will be around @cmjh10 area. Tell me it's a rush, but then make me wait and work around others schedules.......I love that stuff.

Speaking of dreams, I still have the occasional one where it's the day of a final for a class that I hadn't attended all term because either I couldn't find the building/room or I didn't have it on my calendar.

And speaking of words, you don't want today's word to describe you, especially during the pandemic age. Although it does sound kinds fancy when you hear it pronounced.

sialoquent
Heh...
The first leading role I had in high school was in a Chekov one-act called "The Boor", where I was a widow constantly arguing with a rather uncouth fellow...eventually being won over by him. I can still remember it - my co-star, Bob, was around 6'3", and had a full beard & shoulder-length hair (oh, the 70's!). He was definitely a sialoquent emoter...and most of the play I was within 2 feet of him, well within the radius. There's even a mention of my nightly shower on stage in my yearbook. :D

That's weird.......I have a very similar recurring dream. Final exam, haven't studied, freaking out because I know I'm gonna fail it, late to the testing location..........and then I wake up in a cold sweat thinking my parents are absolutely gonna flay me.

Excellent vocab builder! Made me think of this guy:

You peeps are channeling your inner George Will again. He vocabulary drops like no other popular columnist although it's always within a context that you usually know what the word means (mostly) even when you haven't seen it before. #the_human_thesaurus

Will is my favorite columnist. He's generally not an easy read (unless he's talking baseball), but I find it worth the challenge. Smart enough to have deserted the GOP simply because of tRump, which speaks volumes - at least, to me.

I am a moderately left of center guy ("leftist radical" per your governor) but have always taken the time to read Will when I see him in the papers I read. His column today scored a big zero on the Thesaurus Meter, clever use of language but I recognized every single world. His 'Lout Caucus" made me chuckle a little. Lout is underused and underappreciated.

Anyone here eat at Qdoba? I always get a burrito bowl with chips. The last few times I've been there I've got a bag with literally 10 chips in it, like they are rationing, yet they'll have tubs of chips mounded up on the counter. Used to have chips leftover after finishing my bowl, but now I don't even get half way through.

Just wanted to let you know that another Cyclone (fan) was born today in Oregon. Her dad unfortunately was wearing a hawkeye mask. Sigh. He graduated from ISU, so it wasn't all bad. For those of you who saw my photos in the Coolest Athlete photo thread: that little girl is mom.

Nap dream the other evening.

Fell asleep in husband's recliner (husband was gone for the evening), dreamt I was floating in a river in the recliner. There was a gator about in the river, but he was far enough away that I wasn't worried. Other things happened, and then I see the gator headed towards me. I quickly google on my phone "How to get rid of gators", and it says they don't like soy sauce. I'm suddenly transported to my place of work, and do I grab a huge bottle of soy sauce? Nope. Soy sauce packets from the Asian department. Then, things fall off the shelf, like the gator hit my chair. (Very Inception-ish) I'm now back in the recliner in the river, can't see the gator. I then wake up to my husband unlocking our door.

So only about 2/3rds awake, I tell him that dream. He grins. He stopped for supper...at HuHot. The song that was playing while he left? Modest Mouse's "Float On".

Weird.
