Played a pretty good game today. 80% completions, TD, no picks. I'd rather see him than Ferrotte from here on out. I think the Vikes need to pick up a legit starting QB this offseason, but right now I think Jackson is better than Ferrotte, who just seems to constantly make some bad throws, and bad turnovers. I'm actually more confident in Jackson's ability to protect the ball, plus his mobility and ability to avoid sacks, is huge.

TJack is a good 2nd string QB and so is Gus. Gus (and my stomach turns when i say this) is still our starting QB. TJack played a good half but didn't take any chances thats why he didn't make a mistake. He is a lifetime Back up and nothing more keep Gus in he gives us the best chance to win. I was impressed though i was expecting worse.

It's mis leading. Detroit spent the whole time preparing for Gus. I still don't trust TJ one bit.

TJ looked good, but if teams prep for him, it might be a different story. He panics against a blitz. Let's hope the time on the sideline has been a learning experience.

he had a couple good drives against the worst team in football, starting job is still gus'
i don't understand how everyone can sit back and say "gus is still better" or "gus is the man" or my favorite, a t-shirt i saw in the mall of america "in gus we trust". seriously, the man is and old, washed up, never was anything injury waiting to happen. not to mention his "efficiency" which was supposed to be so great is god awful. the man threw 2 picks and 70 yards against the worst defense in the league today. yet, when t-jack comes in it's "oh, well it was only against the lions". yes, t-jack by no means is a top quarterback in the NFL, no way, not even close. but, he is a hell of a lot better than old man gus!

Jackson's QB rating last year ended at 70. Before the Lions game today, Frerotte was at 76. There is not much difference there and Frerotte's will be lower after today. Jackson also adds the ability to run and it usually good for picking up a couple first downs per game, something Gus has no chance of doing. I didn't like benching Jackson at the beginning of the year, and I think I like it worse now. Frerotte has had a couple good games, but I think he's gotten worse as the season has gone on. Either way, the Vikings will be lucky to win a game in the playoffs with either QB.

Vikings need a franchase QB. They have all the other pieces in place.

TJ should never have lost his starting job. They were talking him up during preseason and then he gets hurt. So he has limited snaps and wasn't 100%. He comes back and struggles and they bench him right away.

He is better than Gus. No doubt about it

Gus has done something this year that T-Jack never has, kept the Vikings in the playoff hunt by doing what it takes to win football games. T-Jack has one OK half, don't forget the Lions dropped an INT on a 3rd down pass, and he should be the started? Give me a break. The kid needs to go.

Gus has not done that. The Vikings have done that in spite of Gus. The team is playing decent football right now, but the quarterback position has been pretty awful all year.

Yet again here are the Jackson vs. Ferotte discussions. Right now I think Jackson is the better choice because teams have to factor in his ability to move. He seems to make fewer mistakes then Gus has and his passes seemed to be alot more accurate then Gus's have been in the past few weeks. His arm is stronger by far regardless of what the Vikings need to do in the offseason they need a guy who will not hurt them in critical moments. Gus has done NOTHING to make be believe he has helped the team win week in and week out. He has had one game I would say he played well. Give Jackson the shot because I don't think Gus will survive the rest of the season with the beatings he takes let alone the damage he does to the Vikings on game day.

Gus has played well occasionally. Hwever, right now they need to find out what they have in Tarvaris (or don't have), so as to know whether to draft a quarterback high next year.

Me, I'm all for a couple of OL to open better holes for Adrian, at RT and RG. But they don't have to be first rounders.
