For being a coaches son and a veteran Patrick does not understand how a zone defense works
 
Fun game to watch last night and thoroughly enjoyed the choke job by Iowa. Ohio St is pretty good, especially on O and their D used a lot of energy to contain Lurch, but that what it takes to get the win - front him with a big, thick guy and take your chances on Weisk+Jorbo to beat you. Iowa needs Fredrick back.
 
All summer people thought I was crazy that I just don't see the top 5 hype for Iowa. Yes Garza is a beast but a lot of us were asking what happens as soon as Iowa isn't hot from 3? Well they were hot from 3 last night and still lost.

Iowa is a solid team. I think the early season blowouts were because they had the luxury of having played together for so long they really didn't need to practice much on the X's and O's, just get in game shape. Other teams are now catching up, and catching on. It doesn't mean Iowa is bad......just not the once in a lifetime team Iowa fans were screaming about in December.

Pretty solid analysis. Probably spot on. Honestly, if Iowa could play just a step quicker on defense they probably have 2-3 more wins.
 
So if Iowa would have won , I suppose the trolls would be thumping their chests about how it was an upset? Considering a few weeks ago they were commenting about being a #1 seed. Fran really is a showing how to pee this season down his leg!

I said something similar before the season and caught heat from Iowa fans on here. I believed Iowa was overrated to start the year and would end the year in the high teens as far as rankings go. I also said Iowa would not finish in the top 2 of the Big 10 standings.

There's still a month left of the season and things could certainly swing back in Iowa's favor, but right now my prediction is sitting solid.
