Random Thoughts 15: Crystal Clear 2021 Edition

I don't understand Amazon sometimes. They build a massive warehouse 6 miles away, but I have had nothing routed through or come from there. They also have a large facility at the Rockford airport, but if I have something go through there, they still send it clear to Kenosha and then back.

Was going to skip walkabout today are medical stuffing today but now, after looking at forecast, rethinking that. It's not death watch forecast level like that for Iowa but could be slippery and than cold as hell. Must ponder some. Should probably toss on the reflecty vest and flashy lights and go twilight walkabout.

Took them down to the post office and the lady that works there asked if the regular carrier might have made a mistake and I said no she knows my name, so it was probably a carrier unfamiliar with my town just doing packages.

Still how do you mess up like that? My address is posted with big black numbers right beside my door.

Social interaction sensory overload! Had in person interaction with five peeps at clinic today; the desk gal, the check-in nurse, the infusion nurse, the vaccine shot nurse trainee and the blood draw nurse. That's a lot for a Covid hermit. BTW, the vaccine was NOT the much sought after Covid one.

We were goofing around with Lew's covid hair for last Sunday's Zoom lunch. We pulled his hair up into a little "sprout" type ponytail on top; it's not long enough to make the whole manbun thing. His beard is really weird. Neck and front of chin, it's very short. But the jawline from ear to ear is pretty long. I pulled the long stuff off to each side and made them into ponytails.

I shave the neck area of the beard. I’m not known for growing one. Got a little comment and a smile from some lady about it. Chicks must dig my beard.
 
He's keeping the moustache trimmed...if he wants to kiss me, he has to! The beard & hair haven't seen scissors or a trimmer since last March. I haven't seen my stylist since February. I can sit on my hair now (something I haven't done since high school).

I was really trying for monkey tail stache.....just not in the cards for me genetically....too thin on the manchu part.

On another random thought: I just saw the "News of the World" album cover art that I first saw in 1977.....absolutely lazer crushed into my medula oblongata. Kind of freaked me out then.....kind of freaks me out now.

I got up even earlier than usual so that I could go to work, put 6 hours in, and get out before stupidness hits.

Husband has taken on a PT job and has to open today. Had a gut feeling and checked the laundry hamper...his polo was still dirty. So here I am, the wash cycle JUST starting after the tub filled, waiting to throw the stuff in the dryer. (I ain't waiting for the dryer)
