Iowa Football Recruiting

I am not really interested in your adolescent trolling.

The ******* point is Iowa's seasons are the same year after year after year. 2nd, 3rd, 4th place in the B1G West but you cowards only choose to argue the numbers you can confuse and muddle.

I get it, you love your program, it's accomplishments and where it is headed. Good for you. Wouldn't trade places.

Are you bipolar or something? I mean you hit me with some silly false choice and then get mad at me?

I have never said Iowa is the top dog in the Big10 West, that is Wisconsin, that is who I want Iowa to be. We are behind them, never said different than that, so unfortunately that means a lot of non 1st place finishes over the last 8 years.

I think you had better get used to the idea as 2nd place being the best possible consistent finish ISU will be getting over the next 7/8 years with CMC. Acting like winning 70% of your games and finishing 2nd is some horrible fate is crazy. If you think ISU is gonna be a program that can consistently year after year win the Big12 Championship, you are only fooling yourself. They had a shot this year, couldn't do it. They will have a shot in '21, after that, back to middle of the pack in the Big12 for ISU.

Another big signing day today. Iowa somehow ended up getting Michael Myslinski, so that was big. Looks like Iowa's class is going to ranked 21st Nationally with only 19 commits in the class. Best recruiting class for Iowa in over a decade!

For ISU fans what ISU recruit are you most excited for? What ISU recruit will outperform his ranking the most?

For Iowa I think Brody Brecht and Bowie will outperform their ranks the most. I am most excited for our OL recruits Davidkov and Colby.

Second best in the Big Ten West is quite the rallying cry!

What's your take on Iowa's place overall, fifth or sixth best team consistently in the Big 10 on average?

wow, you’re really competing for the most insecure loser hawk title on this site. That’s a high bar, and you’re sailing over it

Btw, why do support racism in your program?

we had the best record out of the big12 this year, and a lot of that was with underclassman taking snaps during games. defensively Heacock likes to rotate guys enough that saw a lot of of the 3rd/4th string guys seeing the field, and offensively not like there will be a huge drop off either at the skills positions now.

Ok, so with pretty much the exact same team, but a year younger ISU won 7 games. Yet you think with a new starting QB, no proven TE, no proven RB, and no proven defensive players there won't be a drop off. yeah, right.

I love Brecht as a player but if I was a betting man I would bet he never plays one football game at Iowa. With the speeds his fastball hits somebody will draft him in the top 3 rounds of the MLB draft.

To answer your question, I think Howard Brown will be a special player at ISU. He is raw as far as technique at DT. However his highlight tape from HS shows spectacular athleticism and nimble feet for his size.

You said Fat Stanley was better than Purdy and Goodson was as good as Hall and now they're irreplaceable?

I'm saying with Purdy and Hall, ISU was still a 7 win team in '19. If you think you are getting a better QB and RB than those guys, you are going to be disappointed.

did you not read the article at all, defensively we have been playing a lot of underclassman, so there will be no drop off there, Campbell has made the comment we might not have even been playing our best TE yet in Easton Dean, plus add a year of development for Moore, RB I trust the staff in developing Brock or Sanders for duty after Hall if he does in fact leave this year. and the bit we have seen of Dekkers. that 7 win team had a lot of bad bounces that season. but then again we don't get to play in the little 10 west.

What don't you understand? ISU has a shot to win the Big12 in '21, after that I don't see ISU without Purdy, Hall, Kolar, heck pretty much everyone just reloading like a OU does.
Not one of those guys were considered program changers out of high school. Kolar didn't even get an OU offer and he's from Norman.

Iowa State had 9 first team all conference selections that came from recruiting classes you and your troll brethren ridicule.

Campbell and his staff has shown the ability to take good recruits and turn them into great football players. Sorry to break it to you but our classes are only going to get better. Your middling forecast has nothing to support it.

This staff won 8 games with Kyle Kempt as quarterback. There will be some drop off, but I'm confident with our staff.

Exactly I see CMC being able to win 7 or 8 games with his guys most of the time. I'm not saying ISU goes back to Rhoads level's. Well at least as long as CMC is in Ames.
