Iowa Football Recruiting

That is a good point, but the same holds true for the Big10 West. We all play each other in the West as well, and if you slip up against a NW or Wisconsin there is 0 chance you get into a CCG.

There is a difference between how tough it is to get into the CCG with a given record and how difficult it is to have two teams in the CCG with given records which is where round-robin scheduling and unbalanced scheduling comes into play and why it is stupid to say that getting into the CCG with 2 losses means it is inherently easier. I can keep explaining the distinction to you, but I can't understand it for you.

The biggest problem is that MOST years the 2 teams that meet in the B1G Championship game are not the two BEST teams. The Big 12 ALWAYS has the 2 best teams playing in the title game, guaranteed.

It happens right at half the time so far. The years listed in bold are years the 2 highest ranked teams in the B1G played in the conference title game.

2011: (11) Michigan State vs (15) Wisconsin
2012: (14) Nebraska vs (NR) Wisconsin-------Ohio State was ranked #4 but ineligible for title game due to sanctions
2013: (10) Michigan State vs (2) Ohio State
2014: (5) Ohio State vs (13) Wisconsin------Michigan State was ranked #7
2015: (5) Michigan State vs (4) Iowa
2016: (7) Penn State vs (6) Wisconsin------Ohio State was ranked #2
2017: (8) Ohio State vs (4) Wisconsin
2018: (6) Ohio State vs (21) Northwestern-------Michigan was ranked #8
2019: (1) Ohio State vs (8) Wisconsin
2020: (4) Ohio State vs (14) Northwestern------Indiana was ranked #8

Thanks for proving my point. Only 50% of the time the 2 best teams meeting is not a good ratio.

Um, didn't Wisky lose to Illinois in '19 and make it in? And I remember Wisky losing to NW a few years ago and making it in? I think 1 conference loss is manageable even within the division.
