The Fran fade

I have only seen the line on William Hill and I use Fan Duel so waiting for it to come up on there. Iffy on whether to bet once it is posted or wait until we see who ISU will be without late tomorrow afternoon.
Unless WVU is out most of their team, I'd bet WVU -11.

Fran has a team in the top 10.

Prohm has his team losing games in Starkville by almost 40 points.
Prohm also has two conference tourney titles. Fran is 3-8 in the BIG Tournament in 10 seasons.

ISU is far from good this season, but any team would look a lot different with four of their top 8 or 9 out due to Covid. Correction, 3 to Covid one to injury (Foster).

I don't think Prohm is going anywhere. Do you? I heard there was "no way in hell" Devries would take the ISU job anyway. The only thing worse would be if he ended up in the BIG 10.

You know what else didn’t go anywhere?

the racist culture of Iowa football.

how can you support that?

How different did ISU look when all those guys were healthy?

Tied @ WV with a minute
Tied with Baylor with 10 minutes to go then definitely ran out of gas
Basically down @ TX by 3 buckets all game

All 3 were top 10 and all 3 are still highly ranked.

That is why I'm not gonna bash ISU for losing so badly when they were down so many players. That is a rough go, and not a fair representation of the team. That said we have other games to look at where the team was whole, and when they were, they were still a really, really bad team.

Pretty crappy then too, but better. Gave Baylor a better game than Illinois did.

Also lost by 28 at Iowa, lost at home to South Dakota State, lost at home to Kansas State, lost by 27 at home to Texas Tech.

So why are you asking the question?

The original post I responded to was saying any team would look terrible missing so many guys due to Covid or injuries.

ISU was getting blown out by good teams and losing to average or bad teams when they were at full strength.

ISU also had a lot of new faces to the team. Iowa's guys have played together for years. In a Covid world, I'm sure there's some impact from that.

But again, why ask the question then?
