That's probably fair. WVU was solid and TCU got a lot better as the year went on honestly. They had 12 AP votes to end the year. I don't think anyone should think Oregon was some great team. Yes, they were Pac 12 Champions, but that title doesn't make them great alone.
Oregon would've been the second best team on Iowa's schedule. I don't think it's a mystery as to why the Pac 12 and Big 10 had a weird year.
They were an automatic bid.
Doesn't lessen Iowa State's accomplishment. Doesn't mean we couldn't of beaten a better team. Why does this dig at you so much? Obsess much?

maybe 2nd or 3rd depends on the day with Wisc. They were up and down and lots of Covid issues all year

yep. I think you've got it. The theme this year seems to be that the 2 P5 conferences that didn't prepare for the season struggled. Not that hard to figure out.

pushing what? That Oregon wasn't a tough NY6 bowl opponent. It's the truth and you seem to be the one with a problem with it. I'm not bashing the Clones but you insist on defending Oregon. I'm sure they'd have been better with a normal season.
