The Fran fade

Jackson-Davis showed everyone what Garza doesn’t have, quickness. Those spin moves made Garza look like his feet were nailed to the floor.

Garza’s back must be starting to hurt from carrying this team for so long. Did Iowa stay in the locker room at half or what? Looks like they all took turns at wearing Bernie’s mittens in the second half.

Notice in the final few minutes Fran was subbing out Garza and JorBo on defense and bringing them back in on offense. That’s how bad those two are defensively and also why Garza isn’t even on some draft boards.

Garza was getting abused last night on defense. Guys were spinning around him and dunking on him. He also is terrible on pick and roll defense, which is what the NBA is.

He’s a true PG. he definitely should be getting more minutes than he is.

They also realized that Garza doesn’t pay attention when he bumps someone down to the basket so a guard would peel off and just steal the ball from him. Happened like 2-3 possessions in a row and then they decided to take Garza out of the post.

That was the worst I've seen Garza look all season. Still got his buckets but didn't look as good doing it as he typically does. Turned the ball over and played terrible defense. You know a team is in his head if he's missing free throws down the stretch.

First time I think I saw him get tired too. You could tell he was having to work very hard for every bucket. Hats off to Indiana on that. They really bodied him up well and were very physical.

Only fell 3 to 5 which suprised me must of had a sizable lead on teams below us. That was the book on how you beat Iowa. They had the quickness advantage at almost every position.

Yes, and then airballed his last shot. Maybe he was trying to make JoBo feel better.

Sorry I only watched the first half. Sandman got me. Plus I got that damn shingles vaccine on Wednesday and it just kick my butt!! Exhausted, temp, sore arm, along with my whole body aching. Maybe I should get tested for Covid. :oops:
 
Joe Weiskamp vanished in the 2nd half. Only 10 shot attempts, mostly in the first half, where is Iowa's 2nd best player when they need him? This is why he won't be an NBA player

Hey, he did manage to get 5 rebounds. If I had i guess, I'd say that's gotta be a career high. He just keeps setting records.
