Look at it this way, Kirkkk went after how many out of state ISU commits down the stretch? Why would he do that? IMO, he wants to try and frustrate Campbell because he feels threatened by what he's accomplished thus far. He wants to try and establish dominance in the state and maybe squeeze Campbell out. It's a long con play.
The great news is that is La Canfora is the one reporting it, there is almost a certainty that is isn’t happening. Great news.

If Campbell is smart, he uses these reports to get a pay raise.
If Campbell isn’t smart, he goes to the Jets.
I'll take a shot at it. You have no clue what ISU will have in 2022. You will be losing Purdy, Hall, Rose, and possibly CMC, plus nearly every major contributor that you have after '21.
Campbell is smart and he'll leverage this to get his assistants raises thus maintaining stability within the program.
