Again, Lee was better against the pass and significantly better against the run.

Better against the pass? How do you measure how a DL was against the pass other than by pressures or sacks?
Unless they are a freak like Nixon who gets a pick six as a DL.
Lard was more impactful for ISU than Garza was at Iowa during that time. If Lard could have stayed out of foul trouble, he could have really shined.
Eating up blocks so the nation's leader in sacks could get to the Quarterback might be another way. I'll trust the staff that just won the Fiesta Bowl on why Bankston's snaps were dwindling.
It's a shame that Nixon's big year came in a 6 win season where they didn't beat Iowa State or any team with a pulse for that matter.
Not as much of a shame as ISU having their best season ever, not winning the Big 12 and only winning 75% of their games.
