A day after ISU's NY6 win, I started a convo about college FB with a friend of mine (he is a hok homer, but an otherwise nice guy). I didn't gloat or rub in his face that Iowa did not have a win over a good opponent or even compare ISU & UI's seasons - it was a civil discussion. But, it was very short! After about 2 minutes he abruptly changed the topic....to Hawkeye basketball. So typical of that fan base!

I understand your point but how long would it take a Clone fan to change the subject away from basketball? Not long I'm guessing. It's not like the 2020 Hawkeye football team was a disappointment. The season was but not the team. They had a pretty good 6 week run.

6-2 was better than I thought they would be. I had them at 5-3 before the season started. I'll bet Iowa will be around #15 in the final AP poll which is a good season.

Penn St, Wisconsin and I think Purdue, but it might have been Minnesota. The season worked out much difference that I thought it would obviously.
