I talked to a former player who told me that he chatted with his old coaches and they told him they were talking with the bowl but Iowa wouldn’t play a sub

It's OK to admit that it was a difficult season and the "reward" of Iowa and Mizzou playing each other in Nashville at the end was just not something either school was very jazzed to do. COVID gave them both the perfect opportunity to cut bait, and to me that's fine.

Not sure why you are bashing other bowl team in a pandemic year, considering ISU played a team who didn't win it's own division in the Pac12. I mean has there ever been a less deserving team to make a NY6 than Oregon this year?

Oregon was Pac 12 Champions. Regular season is irrelevant I was told

LOL if you think a 1 loss ISU gets in over a 1 loss Clemson, 1 loss ND, undefeated OSU or Bama. The playoffs are reserved for blue bloods only, no others need apply.

They were thrown a bone and they took advantage of it.

The Nashville CMA bowl threw the hoks a smaller bone, but Missou got a hold of their end of the same bone and threw it back.

They won their conference. That is what you guys said a few weeks ago. Why did it matter 2-3 weeks ago and not now? If teams would have full non cons and or conference schedules (Washington cancelled out on Oregon) their schedules would have been different. ISU would have at least 2 more wins.

The committee had to throw a bone to one of ISU, Indiana, or Coastal. ISU got the bone, and as I've said I thought that was the right decision. As usual I was right.

you’re taking this really hard. It’s okay. Couple decades or so and maybe the whole systemic racism within your program thing blows over and you can recruit again. If that aligns with a season where you get thrown another gravy schedule and draw all the Rutgers and Maryland’s in your crossover games you can get back to a NY6 bowl, maybe.
