BBBWWWWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHA! eiu gets dropped FROM Nashville!

Didnt the B10 lobby against the B12 from having a championship game because some old rule said you needed more than 10 teams to play one?
I think they finally gave in at the end when the other conferences said they didn't care.

The whole thing has been our conference jumping through hoops for a committee that is going to change the rules to help the Big Ten every week anyway.

I don't hate the title game after the round robin, but a year is going to happen where a 9-0 team gets beat by a 6-3 team they already beat once and the "champion" will be an objectively less accomplished team than a team that just dominated a true round robin and played a 9-1 Big 12 slate.

The same thing can happen with divisional play but the schedules are so unbalanced in those 14 team conferences that the title game serves an actual purpose in mitigating that lack of balance.

What happens if Iowa wins and ISU loses and Iowa finishes higher in the polls?
Either they won't finish higher in the polls or we'll all know its a sham because the clones will still have an infinitely better record against ranked teams and winning teams. As the fake id will still not have a single win against either.

Tough day for the Coastal supporters

Do I think, for example, Coastal Carolina could beat Oklahoma on any given Saturday during a regular season? Maybe for one game they play great and beat the Sooners. But there is no way they could go through a Big 12 (and perhaps even the Big 10) schedule and come out unscathed.

And I just don't understand the argument some of these people are making about how the committee screwed over Coastal Carolina by ranking Iowa State with three losses ahead of C.C., yet they have no problem having a 2-loss Oklahoma squad (and a team ISU beat in the regular season) ranked ahead of the undefeated Chanticleers. That is perplexing.

Just imagine the uproar if Purdy throws a cleaner pass and ISU beats OU for a second time. I realize that OU won, but it wasn't like ISU didn't have a great chance at the end, or that OU turned the ball over a bunch of times to keep ISU in the game. Actually you could claim the opposite. Without the turnovers ISU might have won handily.

Looks like ISU is the "Fake ID" of college football this year.

Probably already been posted, but it's funny so here it is again.

Funny it's Indiana's best season since 1945 or whatever. But ISU is the Big XII's runner up. No mention how historic this season is for us.

ESPN can't stand ISU this season. Such a weird thing.
It’s because ISU has built a foundation to sustain this success which isn’t as fun to talk about on ESPN versus a flash in the pan season (the true Cinderella) such as Indiana, Coastal Carolina, etc then the next year they return to mediocrity when the clock strikes midnight.

I said this before and I’ll say it again, nobody should be surprised (National media, hokroaches) of the year ISU had. ISU finished 2nd, 3rd, 3rd, 3rd in the Big 12 the last 4 years. That is impressive consistency considering where ISU football was at before Campbell and there is no reason to believe ISU has hit the ceiling. Recruiting is only improving, massive facilities upgrades will be here in the next year or two, fan engagement and donations are the highest they have ever been.

Enjoy the insecurity of the National media and the Hawkeye fans who post on here and Twitter. It’s only here to stay as long as Campbell continues this train. I know I am.

So Iowa hit the pause strictly as a precaution, they feel they will be good to go. 75% chance Iowa is all good (25% chance we see more positives and it gets murky).

Side Note Mizzou has already been in contact with Iowa saying they don’t like their chances of playing this game. They only had 54 players last week and they aren’t even bringing players back until after Christmas. I’d say 80% chance Mizzou can’t go in this game.

Some of what I have been saying for over a week now is just hitting. Mizzou is going to cancel playing in the bowl game. Doc is wrong though, Iowa has been aware of this for awhile now.

Also another player that is opting out. ISM was hurt, so him opting out was nothing. Smith was one I had heard was thinking about it. Nixon and Golston are goes if the game is played (which it won't be).

Nixon isn't for sure a go if the game is played which it won't be like I said a week ago
