NY6 is a pretty select group. If they let Coastal in, pretty soon all the riff raff (Iowa) will want to claim they deserve a NY6 spot.
Are there hawk trolls complaining again about our 3 losses when they had they exact same record and went to the rose bowl many years ago? These hawk trolls are a do as I say don’t do as we do bunch.
It is hilarious because Iowa's glowing 12-1 record and disastrous showing in the Rose Bowl against Stanford is a big reason why teams like Coastal Carolina have no real argument with the CFP when pointing to their record alone.
If anything, ISU is the exact opposite of a "fake ID." Where Iowa pointed to their record against a fairly weak 2015 schedule (only two top 25 games and avoiding all league contenders in the East division) as their reason to belong, ISU played half of their schedule in 2020 against the top 25, and every team in their conference. It's apparent which one the CFP values more. The CFP is stating pretty clearly they don't want to elevate teams with weak resumes.
The 2015-16 Hawkeyes have more to do with why Coastal isn't getting CFP than ISU does.

Coastal doesn’t play with the big boys. The big 10 made their bed with that whole cluster f*ck. If anyone should be mad it should be Indiana and NW at their own leadership

Not according to a lot of people it seems. The feeling is a 3 loss ISU who lost at home by 17 to ULL is undeserving.
Me personally I say it is a ****ed year anyway just throw ISU a bone (NY6 bowl) even if they don’t deserve it. I got a solid source that says that is pretty much what the committee did.

I just said I think ISU should have gotten that bone thrown to them. It isn’t my fault many others dont agree with me.
Funny because we aren't the only 3 loss new year's 6. Plus our opponent is 4-2 which is a lower winning percentage than 8-3.

Disagree. Florida lost to a terrible LSU team in one of their 3 losses but I think they're still as good as Iowa State
