If they win against Ok St they are still in the title game and Ok St was top 10 at the time. Texas is blah.

It's not rocket science. If they don't lose to Ok St earlier in the season, they have the big 12 title game locked before Texas game.
The 5th game of the season was not bigger than the Texas game which determined if Iowa State was in or out of the postseason title game
According to the same source, Purdy has never had a rating over 170 in any year. Fields has in all 3 of his years.

Purdy is a good player, but some people on here want to make him into Michael Vick in college. I don't get it. If he were to come out this year I'd think he'd be a late round pick at best.

Purdy would have been the Offensive POY in the Big 12 if it wasn't for Hall. He's a great college player. Why you guys try to discredit him is mind boggling. He's better than any QB you guys have had since Brad Banks
You would have been 8-0 in conference going into the TX game. It's meaningless in the sense that win or lose you are in the title game. Purdy played like crap against a top 10 team earlier in the season, and I understand you don't want to acknowledge that. It doesn't fit your narrative.

You're asking why people are trying to discredit him. It's because he's not as elite as you make him out to be. He's a good college qb. He's the Kirk Cousins of college football.
