Players in the backfield can motion and move during the play. They have to be set before snapping the ball, and ISU never snapped the ball.

Listen I get that you lost and it hurts. Don't be dumb asses though and cry about a call that was correct. If ISU fans, and worse CMC or the ISU linemen understood the rules nobody would be crying at all. You should be pissed at CMC for not knowing the rules and telling his Oline that as soon as someone steps into the neutral zone, you fire off the ball and hit them. CMC looked like a complete idiot reacting like he did.

Offside
ARTICLE 2.
After the ball is ready for play, offside occurs (Rule 7-1-5) when a defensive player:
  1. Is in or beyond the neutral zone when the ball is legally snapped;
  2. Contacts an opponent beyond the neutral zone before the ball is snapped;
  3. Contacts the ball before it is snapped;
  4. Threatens an offensive lineman, causing an immediate reaction, before the ball is snapped (A.R. 7-1-3-V Note);
  5. Crosses the neutral zone and charges toward a Team A back (A.R. 7-1-5-III); or
  6. Is not behind his restraining line when the ball is legally free-kicked. Offside occurs when one or more players of the kicking team are not behind their restraining line when the ball is legally free-kicked (Exception: The kicker and holder are not offside when they are beyond their restraining line) (Rule 6-1-2).

So you are contending that what did Kolar doesn’t qualify as a false start?

Not what I am saying. All I am saying is that you can’t call nothing. Either the defensive player caused Kolar to false start (ie Encroachment) or he false started. No flag is not an option.

No flag was the correct call. Kolar wasn't moving toward the LOS when the ball was snapped so he doesn't get flagged. You can move in the backfield before the snap, what don't you get about this?

It is totally besides the point anyway. ISU fans, players and CMC were losing their minds they thought it was offsides and it wasn't.

So you're saying you have to be moving toward the line of scrimmage now?

Wasn't a good look there to lose his mind and then it is even worse that he was wrong. I'm sure ISU fans are really upset with his behavior since they hold coaches to very high standards like they do with Fran.

Comparing Fran to Campbell is dumb. Campbell has earned respect from officials. Fran is just a psycho who's bad at his job

Since, its a football thread, it would be nice if you would hold your coach to non racist standards and get upset at him for calling Doyle a friend after he wasn't employed at Iowa anymore.

The only dum fuk here is you. Being in the neutral zone is not an offsides penalty. All the Oline had to do was react to the neutral zone infraction and THEN AND ONLY THEN does it become an offsides. Look at the rule, it is clear, you look stupid arguing this when you obviously don’t know what you are talking about.

You ignorant fuk, kolar was set and Soehner was in motion. Kolar intentionally move after the first defender crossed the neutral zone. I know you see what you want because you're a stupid fuking hok fan.

Kolar isn’t at the LOS. Being in motion off the the LOS doesn’t mean anything for jumping offsides. Unless your o-line had reacted, it was the correct no call.

He was covered #88, once hes set and Soehner moves he cant or it's a false start. Not hard to understand.
