Iowa Football Recruiting

How many outright conference titles do you have? The fact that we are going to win a much better conference than you play in is probably driving you crazy.
You realize that it doesn't matter how good your conference is. BIG 12 might be better than the ACC but the ACC has at least 2 teams better than anybody in the BIG 12. The BIG 10 has at least 1 and the SunBelt may have 1 or 2. You "may" win the BIG 12 but wouldn't have won any of the other conferences I mentioned.

Pretty sure all the ISU posters said Iowa class was gonna fall apart.

I never thought that Iowa's 2021 recruiting class would fall apart. They signed 17 guys today, 10 of which are from the state of Iowa, where they traditionally have done very well and presumably it's a group of recruits that would be the least susceptible to being impacted negatively so much by the issues surrounding Iowa that they would back out of a commitment. Most of these guys probably grew up Hawk fans and there was not likely anything that would change their mind. On top of that, some of those in state recruits were better than what was available in past years so the recruit rankings were a bit higher. 3 of the top 4 recruits signed were offensive lineman, a group they have traditionally recruited well over the years. Put that all together and it's not surprising the recruiting class didn't tank.

I think what will be interesting to follow are the current players that transfer out and how recruiting looks beyond 2021 in areas that aren't in their wheelhouse (outside the state of Iowa and not offensive linemen). It's way too early for anyone to make any concrete conclusions on how the racial issues the program has faced has impacted their recruiting. I personally think it will be more of a slow burn than an immediate drop off, but that's obviously just a guess. We will see.

There's already been cause for alarm with the '22 class. They're going to miss out on a kid at RB on Friday that was basically all Iowa until this summer. They're not going to do well with kids from outside the state. Especially with the AA community.

If you think recruiting has been going fine since June you are a moron. Simple as that

Are you on earth 2? Since June Iowa just signed a top 25 class, looks like ISU is outside the top 50. I would say its going good at one school and pretty mediocre at another.

2022 they have 1 4 star kid and are ranked 28, but obviously 2022 class is all messed up because nobody can visit. Does ISU have any for 2022?

The majority of the 51K posts are by ISU fans talking Iowa recruiting.

Iowa had a top 10 class in June. Iowa recruit great until it was revealed Kirk is racist and since then they've missed on or are tending the wrong direction on at least a dozen kids who were considered locks to Iowa. Try to follow along bud

Since June, iowa has missed out on several kids that would have likely picked Iowa if it weren't for the racist in charge. Ignoring that fact doesn't mean it's not true.

But how many verbals did Iowa get from June 1 through today? Thats apparently what really matters.
