Iowa Football Recruiting

Eh, he’s been great. I know you all so badly want him to be a whipping boy, but he’s been quite good.

Again, I've only caught bits and pieces of games of ISU this year and the most I watched was during the ULL game. He was terrible in that game. Not saying he hasn't improved though which is possible.

Foster has overall been really good this year. It did take him a while to develop (moreso than you'd hope for a 4* with his hype), but he has proven a lot of doubters wrong this year.

I’d say that a Left Tackle for a team that is top 10 in sacks allowed and top 15 in yards per rush is pretty good.

The original point is that Maro is a much better prospect than Foster was, and he’s been rock solid.

I'll keep an eye out for him this weekend after the Iowa/Gonzaga game for sure then. The bball game should be over about midway through the 3rd quarter of both the Big 10 and Big 12 championship games.

Maro and Foster are fairly comparable as prospects if you look at rankings (Foster was higher), offers (Maro had better ones) and the fact that Maro is an instate OL and Foster was a legacy OL that both never got an offer from Iowa.

I’ll key in to the Big 12 game during half time to see what the score is. I’m sure ISU will be winning.

What happened to all the carnage that ISU fans were predicting for the Iowa class?

Not sure anyone said carnage.

I expected and still expect a slow burning dumpster fire.

Transfers, decommits, lost recruits. It is taking place.

Case in point - one of the hok trolls on here commented a few weeks ago that the Iowa recruiting class was already done for the year, yet KF is still trying to pick up ISU table scraps?

Frankly, it is all going exactly as I hoped it would. If it was a flaming train wreck, KF would be out the door and there is always that blind squirrel/nut chance that Iowa gets a good coach. I would rather see the program slowly rot over 3-5 years.

But I am sure you are ecstatic. You think you have another recruiting class like Iowa always has. Let's assume it is, the status quo - Oh Gooody, Iowa will be 8-4 and 2nd in the B1G Smoke division again next year. Must be exhilirating.

Interesting that You watch enough Cyclone football to dissect our Oline play to this level.
I’ve watched the TCU, UL, and OU games so far this year. Haven’t watched a game since then due to Iowa usually being on around the same time. I am planning to tune in to the Big 12 Championship after Iowa plays the Zags on Saturday.

So if you haven’t watched a game since OU how can you say Foster is or isn’t playing outstanding
