Game called off in IC

i want to know how a conference who had a month extra time to prepare for this has been hit hardest by it? this is not hyperbole, this is a serious question

Listen to the podcast with pollard. He mentions the Big 10 requiring antibody tests every day. But those tests can have false negatives. So by the time you realize someone had it, the contact tracing is hard. Big 12 requires PCR tests 3 times per week and therefore they catch covid faster.

To continue their meatgrinder, maybe the following would be available: Arizona, UNLV, Vanderbilt, Miss State, N Illinois, Connecticut to name a few...

Big 10 made same mistake as White House. Antigen tests, while convenient, we’re never powered for asymptomatic screening.

I am not terribly familiar with any other conference rules but the B1G has protocols where players have to be out for 21 days with a positive test. That is more than any other conference, I believe.

I don't know what their protocols are but they obviously are ineffective. Not only have issues on teams been rampant, they can't even predict if a team can play or not - which would seem to be contrary to the intent of the 21 day rule. Not to mention that the CDC just lowered the recommendation for quarantine to 7-10 days.

It seems pretty clear, the teams having the COVID problems lack the discipline to stay in the bubble. Kudo's to the hoks for managing that part of the season well.

Obviously, Iowa is scared of playing them. That is the line I have been hearing from Iowa fans about Iowa State not playing Iowa this year. Yes, I live amongst them.

So do you point out that it was their conference that cancelled non-conference games?
