Iowa vs Michigan. Alternate game vs BIG championship.

Michigan is considered to be a great team according to sports writers. I think they will probably be ranked to start next season. They could go 0-12 one year and receive votes the next. They are always over hyped and teams get a boost for playing them even when they aren’t good.

Sounds just like Texas.

Crazy how ISU fans want to duck Iowa this year. You would think they would welcome the opportunity to beat Iowa in a bowl game, but they seem a little afraid to play.
Yeah , read the rest of my post. I want to play other teams. We play you guys every year. You guys seems to be more obsessed with the game than us. Besides, it’s lose lose for us if we play Iowa. There is no way the ISU come out ahead there.

Not sure I see this as much of a break for Iowa. Michigan cancels, Iowa's screwed. Michigan wins, Iowa's screwed. Iowa wins, Iowa's screwed. Beating a really bad Michigan team won't do much in terms of moving up the bowl pecking order. Pretty much just hoping for a Purdue win over IU at this point.

If beating Nebraska, Illinois, and whatever other 2-4 garbage team is worth like 4-5 spots in the rankings, surely a win over terrible Michigan is worth 6-7 spots.

In seriousness, everybody knows Michigan is dysfunctional, but it's still a chance to beat down on a big name program and annoying ass coach.

Jeez, let's see, would I rather play Texas A&M or Iowa? Would I rather play Florida or Iowa?

Must suck when the only way to get attention this year would be to get a game against your cross state rival.

Meanwhile, our next 2 games are on the national stage.

Just one little difference.....

Texas wins more games than they lose.

Of course, in the B1G, the entire W/L thing is a nuisance. I would expect the B1G to do away with W/L records soon, the B1G officials will just announce each week who the best teams are.

You seem really upset that OSU is going to earn a playoff berth. How upset will you be if loses to OU and loses their bowl game, Iowa wins their last 2 games and finishes ahead of ISU in the final AP poll?

Can you find one post, just one, where I mention OSU?

You admit you review all the posts on the site, so can you find the one you are thinking of where I mention OSU?

And aren't you the twat that had a coronary over hypotheticals the other day, and now you come in with the mother of all hypotheticals?

What about this one, this one would make me upset:

What if ISU beats to OU but we find out that ISU cheated on the Covid tests so they stripped ISU of its title, meanwhile, Iowa beat Michigan by 72-3 but the B1G couldn't give Iowa the B1G title even though they earned it so the B1G paid the Big XII $500,000 to borrow it's title for the year to give it Iowa.

'bout as likely as yours.

Ferentz has done a nice job with the Hawks this year. Despite all the allegations, he has kept the team focused. No doubt the Hawks have benefited from a very weak schedule (again)...but he has the team playing as the best of the weak...which will probably result in a large bonus for himself and his beloved son Brian.

Somehow we need their defensive coach to find another job (Parker). He is the main reason for their success year in and year out.

Iowa has played a weak schedule, and the skill positions vs their opponents have been bad.

However, Parker is REALLY damn good. I don't think he gets as much credit as he should because they don't do anything too interesting schematically, but they are so sound. He has had some good NFL DBs in the past, but I think the past couple years he's done a great job with the back end. They have played WAY better than their talent suggests.

Of all the DCs in the country that get thrown out there, I'd take Parker over anyone other than Heacock. They are very different in approach, but both guys have put together consistently good defenses that suit their personnel and opponents without great talent.

Yep, you are definitely upset about OSU earning its berth in the playoffs with a win on Saturday.

All it really comes down to is Campbell having his guys ready to go right away and not needing warm up games to get ready.

If that happens, ISU has a win and they are in game on Saturday.
