UH OH, not good. So does that mean they can come back for the playoffs (assuming the Vikings still make it)?
I wouldn't worry about the Vikings making the playoffs. Before I thought they would lose to the Lions, now I know they will.

Bad yes, wrong no...
An injunction will likely be filed to allow the players to play for the rest of year. I hope Goddell has his house in order. There was report the other night that the NFL knew that this over-the-counter diuretic contained a naughty substance, but didn't add it to their list of "banned" substances, so that the players were not notified of that the diuretic contained a banned substance when they called the NFL banned substance "hotline". If this is accurate, the NFL should be sued into oblivion.
The ONLY reason an NFL player would take a diuretic would be to cover up drug use. The last thing they need, especially during training camp, would be to lose water from their body... But, I guess they have forgotten all about Korey Stringer...

It doesn't necessarily indicate drug use.
Diruetics can be used in weight loss.. something that an NFL defensive tackle might be looking to do in the pre-season.
It's not safe, and I'm not defending these guys. Just saying that there are plausible explanations other than masking steroids.
Thanks for your completely unbaised opinion......cough-bearsfan!
It sucks for the guys that are using it lose weight I guess. The problem is you can't differentiate the players using it for masking and those that are not very easily.
Now that the rule is in place. Those that are using it for the "right" reasons will have to look to something else. Maybe work harder, they ARE making $7,489,584 (Pat) and $1,500,000 (Kevin) in salary.
On top of that, their signing bonuses of $3.75 mil. and $5.5 mil. respectively.
