As I was wrapping up my week, I started thinking about a question that has kind of been in the back of my mind.

If the ISU vs Iowa football game is just another game on the schedule, then why are they so upset about ISU stating there will be no individual tickets available for the game?

I think it is obvious who this game means the most, and their fans don't wear cardinal and gold.

I can't say who it matters to the most, but it certainly matters to both sides and any fan that says otherwise is kidding themselves.

Because we are such awesome fans that we travel en masse to all road games, regardless of location or opponent, to support our beloved Hawkeyes and this is no fair...Jimmy Pollard is a poopie head. Did you know that we've gone to like a whole bunch of New Year's Day bowls in a row? Because if you didn't, I'd like to tell you about it. Our new quarterback is going to win the Heisman next year. Oh, and I'm predicting 11-1, maybe 12-0 for the Hawks next year. Kinnick Stadium is so awesome. ESPN Game Day was there. God is widely known to be a Hawkeye fan. Like me, he didn't graduate from there, but...:angry6wn:

Most Hawk fans won't admit it, but it's the most exciting game that they will play this year in the state of Iowa. Thanks to the lame big 10 scheduling, they have zero attractive home matchups. They might well have one of the worst home schedules of any BCS conference team. They are the ones who should be complaining about ticket prices when you factor in who they play.

They complain because Iowa State is FINALLY trying to shed the "little brother" image, HOW DARE WE???

The idiot fanbase is saying that they should cancell the series, and replace us with a "big time" program.

I find it ironic, that they are talking more and more as JP goes along. Imagine how bad it will be when GC starts winning.

Ask the Hawk fans who they would rather see play: Indiana and Purdue or Oklahoma and Texas. What more reason do they need for them to buy real season tickets from Ames.

Iowa fans have had it pretty good. They only have season tickets available for their game(outside of the singe ticket allotment.), yet they could buy all the single game tickets they wanted at Ames. That may be why it always seemed like Iowa traveled better to Ames than we did to Iowa City.

I really don't care if we have 10,000 empty seats at the game. That will mean 10,000 less Iowa fans showed up which will help our team!:sweet:

Since 2001 the only single game tickets were sold to NCC members. Most clones have family and friends that are fans of EIU so that is how they got their tickets.

Okay well same difference. The tickets were just channeled throuh NCC members.

Grate Post Prone! I'm sure that ALL squawk fans will be expecting another National Championship Ring this season. I'm sure Saint Fairnez will win another National Championship this season.

I would hope that all squawk fans with a third grade education would reach deep and buy those season tickets from ISU

Luv those squawk fans who are gonna help us complete the construction of JTS!

Squawks thank you ONE & ALL!!!!!:yes4lo:

A true NCC member should NEVER buy tickets for opponents. Especially the squaks. Anybody that does should reconsider how much of a 'fan' they consider them selves to be.

I agree completely. Never, EVER knowingly allow the opposition's fans into the stadium.

I once had a friend who is a hawk fan tell me Drew Tate was Jesus and Kirk Ferentz was God. That's right, capital 'G'. Needless to say I've had a fun time over the last couple years asking him if he feels that turning victories into defeats is Jesus' latest miracle.

man laws pertaining to conduct of ISU Athletics/ fanfare should be from here on be referred to as "Clone Law"!

man law?... I mean Clone Law??

Most Hawk fans won't admit it

The fans might not, but the players do! I've got an article from the IC Press-Citizen stashed away in my office for just such ocassions. Two years ago, hawkeye safety Sean Considine (now of the Eagles) said during game week, "Iowa State is our biggest rival and this is the biggest game of the year".

"Hawk Fan" doesn't have much of a response to the hard evidence, usually stammering out "he's from Illinois" or some other innane excuse!
