Iowa would be -9.5 if it wasn't Iowa State. Super Bowl factor was another 6 points according to a sharp bettor
Funny. I was thinking the other way around. would be Iowa -21.5
I (like the majority of you) am not a fan of Fran McCaffery. His bully type antics are embarrassing, and his oldest son has the same attitude on the court. The McCaffery family are easy to cheer against. He has coached for a long time with mediocre results ( never coached a team into the sweet sixteen despite being a head coach for 25 years).
Yet. he is coaching circles around Prohm.
We have to be honest with ourselves. Prohm is not a good head coach. He brings no passion to ISU basketball. Last year I quit going to ISU basketball games. Not because of the losses...but because of the lack of program direction and passion.
We would be in a much better position if McDermott was still coaching....think about that.

I'll bet if you watch the game (you may not) it will "appear" like the Hawkeye players care more.
Who cares if we care more? If prohm can't get his boys up for the 3rd ranked team coming off a loss to south Dakota state that's an Iowa State problem not Iowa. Super bowl excuse on either side of the aisle is the lamest one in the book.
Would we have been better in the long run? McDermott had some bad luck (and bad decisions) while at ISU, but his record at Creighton cannot be dismissed. He knows talent and how to piece a team together...something Prohm is bad at.

You do know that his son was never coming here, so you have to factor that in.
Imagine sending a team out on the floor that cares less about the game than the other team. Yikes
I appreciate Campbell's approach to the series and focus on the big picture. Treat it like any other non conference game
