Iowa Football Recruiting

Yep, check out the last 20 or so national champions, BCS teams and CFP teams. Case closed.

Exactly what I figured.

Hok fan suggesting their recruiting operates at the same level as a Notre Dame, Clemson, Ohio State or Alabama.

How ******* delusional.

And of course, there is nothing else taking place at those places that win them national titles. Coaching wouldn't have anything to do with it. Support for the players doesn't come it to play. I am sure there is a mass exodus of players at Notre Dame as we speak.

Its all just recruiting that determines success.

Good data work there. Hope you didn't spend too long on that!

So hoks have recruiting classes in the 20-30 range and end up the 20-30th best team in the country (hard to tell based on the competition they play).

ISU has 30-50 recruiting classes and is turning out top 10 caliber team.

So remind me, why would we want your recruiting class?

Where did I say that recruiting is all that matters? I only said that recruiting is an excellent prediction to a program's success. Sorry you don't agree, but you would be in a small minority that doesn't.

If that's the case, then why is HOK recruiting our commits and we are turning away theirs when they come crawling to us?

KF is just trying to teach CMC a lesson

"don't come around here and usurp my CFB coach legend status, or i'll shut you down. Don't believe, here are about 20 players you can ask about ruining their careers. And no one can touch me on it."

Would you rather have your recruiting class or Alabama's recruiting class?

KF always recruits kids that are committed unless they tell the the Iowa staff they are 100% firm in their decision. It isnt a new thing specific to one kid in the current ISU class this year.

Funny you didn't ask if we wanted our recruiting class or Oklahoma's

Of course we would want Alabama's

But we certainly wouldn't want Iowa' which was the original assertion- that it was obvious between ISU and Iowa who had the better recruiting class.

and hok fan turns that into asking if we want Alabama's.

So ******* arrogant

Nobody even came close to saying this.....LOL!

You have had 1 top 10 team in the last 100 years and this is your evidence that recruiting rankings dont matter? LOL

Are you honestly saying you would take ISU's class over OU's right now?

Might be a top 10 currently but let's wait until after their last 2 games. By that standard Penn St is a top 10 team also.

no dumbass, you're the one who said recruiting rankings don't matter. I went with the most extreme example, but since you mentioned Oklahoma, you'd take ISU's class over Oklahoma's class I presume?

As I mentioned in a previous post, once you get outside the top 20 or so, the top 25-50 is a bit of a crap shoot. But the rankings do matter because if you're not consistently in or near the top 10, you're not making the playoff except for fluke seasons.

Matt Campbell is a damn good football coach but if you think these types of seasons are going to happen every year with average recruiting rankings in the high 40's...well good luck

I didn't say they didn't matter, I am saying the are one of many aspects of a program that determine success.

I am saying there isn't one aspect of Iowa's dying program, including recruiting, that I would want to see ISU adopt.

I am saying that ISU and Iowa are on completely different trajectories. That could all change if CMC leaves but it isn't going to be because of how CMC is recruiting.

I'll wait for the Notre Dame or Clemson reference....

It your dumb ass hok bretheren that started the assertion that ISU covets Iowa's recruiting classes.

Read and try to keep up will ya.

Campbell disagrees considering he offered 11 of the 16 current Iowa commits.

And they chose to be apart of a toxic environment. Your comment asked if I'd trade classes. To that the answer is no. If members of your class decided they no longer wanted to be associated with your cesspool I'm sure CMC would evaluate on a case by case basis.

They wouldn't be the first to decide nothing has really changed.
