Some college intern running the ticker doesn't make it real. The actual ESPN story I read said earned a birth in the championship game. No place does it say that the BIG 12 recognizes a regular season champion. You had the best record and earned the #1 seed (congratulations). Now beat Oklahoma and actually be conference champions.

Nope, even conference said OSU was champs as they got sent to the championship. Iowa still claims it though.

The BCS selected OSU for the title game in 2002.
