Just so I get my feelings out there:
- OBVIOUSLY Ricky Henderson is a 1st ballot hall of famer.
- Grace is a hall of famer. Maybe not a first ballot, but a hall of famer. He had more hits than ANYONE ELSE in the 1990s.
- Jim Rice deserves to go in as he was one of the top 5 hitters in the time he played.
- Lee Smith deserves in as one of the better closers ever.
- Don Mattingly - great hitting 1st baseman.
- And The Hawk, Andre Dawson deserves in.

I think Mark MacGwire should get in too.

Let the debating begin. I'm sure a bunch of you will be all up in arms as a lot of you didn't even think Sandberg was a hall-of-famer.

Without looking at the stats, my initial reaction is:

Dawson, Henderson, Mattingly, Morris, Murphy, Raines, Rice, Smith

Just a gut reaction, not very scientific!

Bert blyleven. Look at his numbers. They are great.

Ricky needs to be in there.

Jim Rice

Mark McGuire should be in there. Steroids or not that guy and Sosa helped bring the game back after the strike.

Ricky is absolutely a first ballot guy.

Bert Blyleven should be in but won't be. He is the victim of the bad teams he pitched for over his 20+ years. CIRCLE ME BERT!

Jack Morris should be in on the strength of his Game 7 performance against Atlanta alone.

Of the others, I would say perhaps Raines or Dawson would be the next wave I would consider.

Right or wrong, McGwire is doomed to a life in pergatory.

Wow. Some of you guys are too easy. To me only the elite players are HoFers. Grace was a good player, but he wasn't a great player. Mattingly was a great player, but not for a long enough time for me. The only ones I think should get in are..

Rickey Henderson and Mark Magwire.

Without pulling up the stats, Dale Murphy was the MAN for about half a dozen years no? It's hard to compare guys from his era like Dawson and Raines and even Trammel with the guys nowadays.

Blyleven had one of the best curves in the history of the game and Morris was one of the toughest competitors ever on the mound. Plus he came through for me on my 100:1 Vegas odds I had on the '91 Twins. That was a nice check.

I believe Grace led the 90's in hits, that might not mean a ton, but he was so solid for so many years. My favorite Cub and I think he deserves to be in the hall!

Let me guess...Cubs fan?:skeptical:

Dawson should get in, obviously Henderson. I think there are others that should, but I don't know that they will. I would love to see Grace in the hall, but I don't know that he really deserves it. He was a good player, but never a superstar.
