Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Struggling tho he is, I expect him to be fully amped up for the Super Bowl next week. Might even knock down a 3 or 2 as his tired body feeds off the adrenaline and whatever else he gets out of the rivalry...

I have confidence in him and he will turn it around. He is a great shooter and not someone the opposing team wants to leave open.
Jordan is a career 38.7% shooter. His first couple years he shot the 3 pretty well. He has always shot inside the arc poorly somehow for being a good free throw shooter.

Because he isn't athletic enough to get a good shot from inside the arc. He is a spot up shooter, but he can be deadly if left open.

Frederick is who I'm mostly concerned about. I'm so upset the Iowa will get 6 years out of him and 5 out of Garza. Nunge will end up being around for 6 years too, but that isn't so concerning to me

So he isn't athletic enough to get a good shot inside the arc, we all know his defense is bad. He better be really good from 3 to get minutes this year.

His body is telling him he should be selling insurance right now instead of playing games against kids

Ha. Very true. Hilarious thing is he could come back next year again. Got to be some sort of record already for minutes played in a college career. Strange position to be in b/c clearly he is not a professional. If they are going to let you play (and his body can handle it), why not.

Bohannon, for his career, averages less than three 2 point FG attempts per game. Analyzing his shooting numbers from inside the arc is a pretty big waste of time.

Didn't you hear? In his 5th year of eligibility, last night he cracked the Top 5 in assists all time at Iowa. I believe he surpassed the legend, BJ Armstrong. So Jorbo now joins little Frangaret in lineups where you have 2 guys who can't do anything offensively except pass, push off, and throw elbows. I mean, with Garza scoring 30 a half, if you have a couple guys who absolutely can not buy a bucket, it shouldn't hurt you too bad. Just throw it to the big fella and occasionally get a chance to knock down a wide open 3 when the D sucks in on Garza.

Yep, what they should do almost every possession.
Garza has really saved Fran's career. I would hate to see where Iowa would be right now without him. A roster full of Fran's kids and legacy recruits from the state of Iowa could be Lickliter-era levels of bad.

BJ played 130 games at Iowa.

Jordan played in his 115th game at Iowa last night.

Don't care how it is happening, just glad it is. Garza is a generational college player for a program like Iowa. Got to enjoy him while you have him. May never see a better offensive player in my lifetime.
