I'm not sure what you watched. I saw a big that was often out of position on defense and airballed a three. Yeah, he had two dunks on nice feeds, but he wasn't scaring anyone. He has a loooooong way to go.

The main problem that I saw was that he was getting too far out while guarding and got blown by a couple times. Just needs to learn that it's going to be hard to shoot over a dude his size, even from a few feet away, and that players at this level are way faster than he's used to.

ISU basketball will always be my favorite team, sport, activity, etc.

Don't know a thing about South Dakota State. That said, ISU laying -1.5 at home against a Summit (I think?) team, take my money.

It will be interesting to see how the players respond. The first half of that first game was really bad basketball all the way around. 2nd half was better, but the 5s have to wake up and play. Just awful in that first game, and that is unexceptable with 2 upperclassmen available.

I'm with you. ISU basketball has brought me more joy than I care to admit in my life. They'll be better, how much is the question.
