Someone stated that no coaches can be fired this year because the university's can't afford it. Texas probably can't scrap up the funds to fire Herman.
While im sure they can, $15mil is not a small number.

So if ISU/WVU was cancelled, ISU would make the championship game. And if the championship game was cancelled, ISU would be the Big 12 Champs.

We are 7-1 in conference and you think we could "easily" lose to West Virginia on senior night? JFC, get a grip and have some respect for the team. Not saying ISU couldn't lose, but its not going to be easy or likely to happen.
Seems to me the most likely outcomes for ISU to make the ship game is ISU to beat WVU or UT to beat KSU (if UT doesn't play KU) the other 4 scenarios aren't happening. I'm confident but I'm not 99% confident. WVU will have two weeks to prepare for ISU.
Been a while since we’ve gotten to see jsb in full blown melt down panic mode about what ifs that aren’t going to happen. Remember when we got rid of CPR and the best she said we could hire was a position coach as our next head coach?

If you all don't realize that both jsb and I understand very well how slight the chance is that we don't make the championship game..... I don't know what to tell you? Maybe use your head and think about what you're saying before you post it?
But being a Cyclone fan for over 50 years, and now wearing a permanent nut cup because of that, I still won't be calm until it is a 100% chance instead of 99%. Sorry if that simple fact disturbs so many people.
And it has NOTHING to do with me not being confident in my own team at all. It has everything to do with the college football "gods" never being too kind to the Iowa State Cyclones. So if there's still a 1% chance of something bad happening to ISU.... I worry.
If that deserves ridicule, so be it..... but it doesn't make me any less of an ISU fan. If anything, I guess I care way more than I should about ISU sports.

BUT WHAT IF THE ENTIRE TEAM, COACHING STAFF, ATHLETIC DEPARTMENT AND SCHOOL PRESIDENT DECIDE THEY JUST WANT TO PRETEND THERES COVID ISSUES AND CANCEL THE GAME BECAUSE THEY DONT FEEL LIKE PLAYING BECAUSE THEYRE NOT IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP GAME?!??!?!?!?1?!?!?!?!111?!?!
