Iowa Football Recruiting

Hold On so more ranked teams = better conference? So you would agree that the Big10 West last year with 3 top 15 teams was > Big12 with 2 top 15 teams?
I'm here to talk about this year. I could care less about last year or what other people said on here in regards to Sagarin or whatever. THIS YEAR the Big 10 West is trash. You have Northwestern at the top, and then Wisconsin and Iowa who haven't beaten a team with a heartbeat yet.

You don't even believe the B10 West is good so stop trolling. The B10 West has 2 ranked team and one that's receiving 15 votes.

Big 10 West - #11 Northwestern, #18 Wisconsin

ACC (no divisions this year) - #2 Notre Dame, #4 Clemson, #10 Miami, #25 UNC

SEC East - #6 Florida, #13 Georgia
SEC West - #1 Alabama, #5 Texas A&M, #22 Auburn

Big 12 (no divisions) - #14 OU, #15 ISU, #20 Texas, #21 OSU
Point taken. BIG 10 west isn't great but neither is the BIG 12.

No the Big 12 is not great. They're decent though. The Big 10 West is BAD though. You can't argue that it's even average.
I don't know. The BIG ten west has 3 decent teams then cannon fodder. The BIG 12 has 4 decent teams then then cannon fodder. looks pretty similar to me. Purdue/Minnesota would be fairly comparable to TCU/W Virginia. Nebraska/Illinois fairly similar to TT/Baylor/Kansas

W. Virginia and a healthy K-State are better than Purdue and Minnesota. And the only reason Minnesota beat Purdue is because of a horrific PI call. TCU is probably on the level of Minnesota. TT and Baylor are around Nebraska and Illinois level and Kansas is just awful.

Wisconsin and Northwestern are as good as anybody in the BIG 12. Iowa would probably go 2-2 against the top 4 in the BIG 12.
Iowa hasn't beaten a ranked team this year and will likely go 0-3 against the top-4 of the Big 10 West. What makes you think they'd go 2-2 against OU, ISU, OSU, or Texas? Iowa hasn't done anything special this year outside of beating bad football teams.

It's not just the trolls on this board. Some of my normally rational Iowa fan friends have for some reason anointed this team as a World-beater. They've beat 3 teams with a combined 3 wins. There losses are two one decent team and one very, very average team.

One was even talking about playing us in the Cotton Bowl.

I just don't get it.

Don't even know what a healthy KSU would look like at this point. I think Purdue vs West Virginia would be a good game to be honest. Their QB is decent and their receivers are awesome.

This is a good/decent Iowa team with piss poor QB play keeping them from being very good/great.

Looks like ISU is hanging in there at #50 in the national recruiting rankings on 247.
Remarkably similar to how the best team in the Big 10 West has done over the last few years. Good coaches evaluate players better than website scouts and certainly develop them better.

Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas are way better than Iowa. Iowa couldn't beat Purdue without Moore
