Harbaugh

yeah. he'd be very dumb not to go to michigan if available.
I don't know why. That's a job that's right up there with Nebraska, USC and Texas in terms of fans so desperate to get back to their glory days no matter how unrealistic of a reality that is. Coaches come and go and things never change at these places.

I still think it's a free season for everyone and no programs will make any moves.* So we'll probably revisit this topic next season.

*Unless Texas can get Meyer

EDIT: UM will be suspect of a guy who can't win ISU's rivalry games (UI, KSU).

You might think with all the loss of revenue that schools might have to keep their bad coaches. I know here in Nebraska that is the talk, that they are stuck with Frost for a few years yet. I think they just extended his contract a year ago. But a team like Michigan or even Penn State surely has some super rich supporters that will pay up right now just to change coaches. As OP said, get ready.

What’s Harbaugh’s buyout? I’m guess it’s huge. And with the financial impacts of Covid, there is a chance that money is a reason they don’t make a move.

But Michigan is one of the jobs that would really worry me with Campbell.

I'm also not sure they want a coach whose teams come out of the gate like they're scrimmaging.

Which is hilarious, because he's gone 10-3 3 times, 8-5 and 9-4. The only black mark he has is his record against Ohio State.

All time Michigan has won 71% of their games. Until this season Harbaugh has won 72%, which will fall this year. By their standards and history it’s been an average run. Up to them to decide if average is good enough and if they like the trajectory of the program.
