If you were the coach how would you handle Iverson

History repeats itself.

I guess this is why he thinks practice isn't important. They should have seen this coming. Detroit is probably already trying to figure out how they can unload him.

Another guy I can't stand right now is Stephon Marbury.

Wednesday was the second time in 6 days that he refused to play although the Knicks were down to 8 players.

Isn't that a breech of contract, and thus voiding it? I know the players association would never let that go, but come on.

Haha i think the marbury is kind of a funny situation. If they're going to bench you for no other reason than they dont like you, then good make their plan backfire and say no. Yes its very childish and theres no way he should be getting paid to do it, but the fact that its a big joke to him when they only want him when they need him is kind of humerous

The Marbury situation is silly. I agree with IOWASTATE, they said he didn't fit into their plans and they didn't want him to play. But when they are down to two guards because they are trading players away like the Plague the call on him. I would tell them to stick it too.

Iverson and Marbury are 2 guys that are talented but both can be royal pain in the rear sometimes. Iverson at least is a gamer and will help you win some games and has that desire but he can be a little selfish at times. Marbury is just plain selfish and has never won anything where he's been in the NBA as well as been labeled a cancer which is why the Knicks are never going to be able to trade him and that fat salary of his.

Both need to have their moms just smack them upside the head and knock some sense into them.

You don't play you get fined by the team. You don't play to your potential you get fined from your team. If you still don't play you lose the salary for that game, till you play. Then when the season is over, you get put on the block. If noone signs you you lose all of your income for the remainder of the years due and get cut, or you straighten up and play like you get paid to do. Players union would object, but then again read my pro salaries post

LOL i love how the knicks suspend marbury for 1 game. Yea that'll show him, suspend him for 1 game when a) you dont want him to play or b) he tells you to shove off when you tell him to play. Haha what a big joke im sure this will really straighten him out

Well, at least the Knicks slip a bit of his salary back into their pockets. This whole situation is a joke.
